Every night ends under the Faith Tree

Catholic early reader books & Bible stories for kids

Sight-word readers a child can truly read, and animated Bible stories a family can truly share. Faith Tree Press makes Catholic early readers and the Faith Tree Adventures animated series — and every one ends the same way: a story, a prayer, and a thankful heart.

Our promise to every family

Book. Prayer. Gratitude.

Faith Tree Press began at bedtime, with a simple rhythm we didn't want to let go of. Every book and every episode follows it.

📖

Book

Every story is written at exactly the right reading level — controlled vocabulary, gentle repetition, and Scripture told simply and truthfully — so a child feels proud finishing it.

🙏

Prayer

Every book and every episode closes with a short prayer a family can say together, turning story time into a shared moment of faith.

Gratitude

Then one question: "What are you thankful for?" A Thankful Thought ends the day with a grateful heart — the rhythm that shapes a child's interior life from the very start.

How it began

Faith Tree Press began at bedtime.

As a young father with two small boys, I wanted our evenings to end with something that mattered — reading together, pausing to pray, and closing the night by thinking about everything we had to be grateful for. I wanted books at exactly the right reading level that also carried something worth reading about: stories from Scripture, from the lives of the saints, from the virtues we were trying to live out as a family.

Four Levels. One Growing Child.

Our reading levels are designed to grow with each child — meeting them exactly where they are and carrying them forward with confidence.

First Steps

Ages 4–5 · Pre-K & Kindergarten

Simple words, short sentences, and gentle repetition. Stories of Creation, God's love, and the very basics of faith — carried in simple language a child can read on their own for the first time.

Beginning Reader

Ages 5–6 · Kindergarten & Grade 1

Sight-word growth and slightly longer sentences bring beloved Scripture stories to life. Children grow as readers while encountering the great figures of the Old and New Testaments.

Growing Reader

Ages 6–7 · Grade 1 & Grade 2

Expanded vocabulary and richer sentence structure open the door to the lives of the saints, the virtues, and the traditions of the Catholic faith — told with age-appropriate warmth and depth.

Confident Reader

Ages 7–8 · Grade 2 & Grade 3

Richer stories, parables, and deeper themes of faith and virtue. Children who have grown through the earlier levels arrive here ready to read independently and to truly wrestle with what it means to live well.
